Many
of you attended the Lebanon Hanover/Selofan show on Saturday, the 18th
here, in Montreal. Sadly, we have to report that the rumors you have
been hearing are true regarding what happened afterwards. En route to
finish their tour, both bands were turned away at the US border and were
forced to cancel all remaining US dates. After spending 6 hours in
limbo at the border, they were sent back to Montreal, where they have
been tourists ever since.
To help ease the financial burden
of all the cancellations, we are organizing a benefit show. Lebanon
Hanover and Selofan will grace our city once again with their beautiful
noise because, let’s face it, the US just couldn’t handle it. If you
missed it the first time, it’s your lucky day. If you saw them before,
come and see them again. You won’t regret it and it’s for a good cause.
To sweeten the pot, they will be playing songs you didn't hear the last
time.
TECHNIQUES BERLIN will be playing at la Brique with Violence, Scene Noir & Noyade. By the way, Cold Cave & Boyd Rice in Montreal were great. Thank you for the great organisation. Hahaha!!!
Thanks to the (fascist) defenders of morality, Cold Cave + Boyd Rice / Non will not be playing. The Montreal scene will never forget, and will never forgive what happened.
On a more positive note, this show might interest you. EXCUSES is a very promising act from Nevada, US., which will be playing an exclusive gig in Montreal, along with AUTOMELODI & SEBASTIEN TRAFALGAR. It's all happening at the notorious DEATHOUSE.
We will be having a little private party along with coldwave/synth pop/experimental acts from Montreal Scene Noir, Noyade, Fatal Suit & Sally Paradise. For more infos or an invitation, ask a punk.
